Lake Erie, 21-22 March 2025

Vickie, Russ, and I started Saturday in the afternoon between Kelley's and South Bass Island in clean water with a 10-15 mph NE wind. We trolled with the waves ranging from 1 to 2 mph. We let out 125 to 165 foot of line. Almost any color of Bandit caught fish. We fished in water depth ranging from 32 to 34 foot. We had a couple doubles with the smallest fish at 21 inches and the largest was 26 1/2 inches. Most fish caught were suspended between 18 and 22 foot. The water temp was 40 deg and the air temp was 43 deg. The water was slightly stained and it was partly cloudy.
Sunday afternoon we fished for a few hours a little closer to Kelly's and caught 13 walleye ranging from 15 to 26 inches. We let out 150 to 175 foot of 12 pound mono with speeds from 1 to 2 mph. There was a 15 mph NW wind. Water temp was 43 deg with an air temp of 36 deg and partly cloudy. the barometric pressure was steady at 29.94. Some of the bandit colors were parakeet, chrome huff daddy, and a green, white, and purple custom.
